Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Iron-Oxide Decoration, Stamped "BOSTON.," Frederick Carpenter, Charlestown, MA, early 19th century, ovoid jar with heavily-tooled shoulder, flared collar, and open loop handles, decorated on the top and bottom with dipped iron-oxide slip. Excellent condition with a minor chip to interior of rim as well as two minor nicks and wear to inner rim for lid.
