Very Rare Stoneware Canning Jar with Frizzellburg, MD Advertising, attributed to Peter Herrmann, Baltimore, MD, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and narrow collar, impressed with the cobalt-highlighted advertising, "FROM/ A WARNER/ DEALER IN DRY GOODS / GROCERIES &C/ FRIZELBURG MD." Exceptional form and rare Carroll County, MD town name. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with some in-the-firing dryness to surface. H 9 1/4".
