Stoneware Spittoon with Cobalt Chain Link Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1840, cylindrical form with footed base, carved opening at shoulder, and recessed opening in top, decorated around its circumference with a brushed chain link motif. Chipping around opening at shoulder. A 1 1/4" in-the-making base chip. H 3 5/16" ; Diam. 8 1/2".
