Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Slip-Trailed Cobalt Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1820, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and squared rim, decorated in bold, slip-trailed cobalt with a wavy line underscored by three foliate devices. Two smooth, in-the-firing base flakes, measuring 2" and 1 3/8". Other, very minor in-the-firing chipping to base. H 8 1/2".
