Three-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, attributed to William Capron, Albany, NY, early 19th century, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with three diagonal cobalt slashes. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A 6" crack from rim. A 2 1/4" surface line to interior of rim, 1/4" of which is visible on exterior of rim. Rim and base chips. In-the-firing iron spotting to surface.
