Rare Stoneware Hunt Scene Pitcher, attributed to the Salamander Works, New York City or Woodbridge, NJ, mid 19th century, molded, hound-handled pitcher with relief decoration of hounds overtaking a stag and boar, the exterior surface covered in a chocolate-brown Albany slip glaze. Underside embossed "B 2." Very nice condition with a small chip to side of spout. H 9 3/4".
