Rare One-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Buggy Jug, Stamped "WB," Washington Becham, Crawford County, GA, second half 19th century, short, squat-shaped jug with tooled shoulder, the surface covered in a mottled-brown alkaline glaze. Impressed "WB" on handle. Exceptional form. A chip to top of spout. Some in-the-firing surface fissures. Two small pieces of adhered clay at base. H 9".
