Two Quart-Sized Stoneware Jars with Cobalt Decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1880, both of cylindrical form with semi-squared rims, one decorated with a horizontal leaf motif, the other with swag motif. Leaf-decorated jar with a chip to exterior of rim and some staining and in-the-firing spotting to clay. Swag-decorated jar in excellent, essentially as-made condition with mottling to surface. H (of each) 7".
