Rare Pair of Rockingham Recumbent Lion Figures, attributed to James and Thomas Haig, Jr., Philadelphia, PA, Dated "Jan 10 1872," molded figures of reclining lions on slab bases, each with elaborate hand-incised details and mottled brown glaze over a cream ground. Each hand-incised on the underside, "Jan 10 1872." One in excellent condition with two minor nicks to underside of one paw. Other in very nice condition with small chips to base and bottom edge of base. L (of each) 9 1/4".
