Four-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Pruntytown, WV origin, circa 1875, ovoid churn with tooled shoulder, flared collar, and applied lug handles, decorated with an undulating vine bearing four flower blossoms and leaves. Two freehand cobalt "4's" to shoulder and a wavy stripe above. Raised spots of in-the-firing bloating to surface. Chips to interior of rim. A short in-the-firing separation to interior of rim. One handle chip.
