Two Pieces of Stoneware, Ohio origin, circa 1880, a five-gallon crock with stenciled cobalt "5" in wreath and a Federal eagle with banner, inscribed "E. PLURIBUS UNUM;" paired with a five-gallon semi-ovoid jar with brushed floral motif, a freehand "5," and stripes to the handles. Eagle crock with crack across underside, continuing onto base, a 4" crack from rim on reverse, handle chips, and a small chip to interior of rim. Jar with a large semi-circular line on underside, in otherwise excellent condition.
