Five-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Churn, Ohio origin, circa 1880, semi-ovoid churn with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with an abstract brushed and slip-trailed design featuring crosses and reversed S's, embellished with spots, all surrounding a script "5." Some wear to midsection, touching part of bottom of decoration. Small chips to inner rim for lid. Water glass staining to interior.
