Scarce Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "HIGGINS & CO / CLEVELAND O.," Ohio origin, circa 1840, highly-ovoid jug with tapered spout, decorated with a large brushed design of two tulips emanating from a central leafy stem. Excellent condition with a 1 1/2" surface line to left of upper handle terminal, a small chip to top of spout, and some faintness to impression of maker's mark.
