Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Chicken Pecking Corn Decoration, attributed to Brady & Ryan, Ellenville, NY, circa 1885, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, applied lug handles, and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a chicken pecking kernels of corn from a stylized ground. Areas of fry to cobalt. A small in-the-making chip to underside at edge. Water glass staining to interior. Light water glass staining to exterior.
