Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "WHITES' BINGHAMTON," NY State origin, circa 1870, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a poppy plant with two large, detailed blossoms. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. A 1" glazed-over handle chip. A 3/4" lime ping below handle. A small piece of adhered clay to underside of opposite handle, as well as at base of crock on front.
