Unusual Half-Gallon Stoneware Advertising Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "BERGAN & FOY," attributed to W. Roberts, Binghamton, NY, circa 1870, cylindrical jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a bird perched on a leafy branch. Cobalt highlight to the unusual merchant advertising, "BERGAN & FOY." Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 11 1/2".
