Fine One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Flower and Cross Decoration, Stamped "JOHN BELL," Waynesboro, PA, circa 1850-1880, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, decorated with a hanging spotted tulip motif, interspersed with appealing cross-shaped designs and swags, all applied over slip-coated clay. Excellent, essentially as-made condition.
