Unusual Small-Sized Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Western PA or WV origin, circa 1875, ovoid jug with tooled shoulder and spout, decorated with a large brushed flower emanating from a wavy stem. Circumferential cobalt highlight below spout. Cobalt stripes to handle. Desirable size and decoration. A thin horizontal crack through handle. Some handle wear and minor lines to base of handle. Minor spout wear. A chip to base of spout and two minor nicks to shoulder molding. H 9 1/2".
