Fine Stoneware Canning Jar with Rose Decoration, Stenciled "Wilkinson & Fleming / Shinnston, WVA," circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and "wax sealer" interior, the front decorated with a large stenciled rose at the center and stenciled foliate designs above Wilkinson & Fleming stenciling. Three glazed-over lines extending up from base on side and reverse, measuring 4 1/2", 3 1/2", and 1 1/2". Three minor chips on interior of rim. H 9 3/4".
