One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "H B PFALTZGRAFF / YORK, PA," circa 1870-1889, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and flattened rim, decorated with a brushed design of a hanging flower emanating from a leaft stem. Minor rim chips. A hairline across underside, extending a short distance onto base, where it forms a Y. A 1 1/4" surface line on reverse, continuing 5 1/2" up reverse, not visible on interior. A few small rim chips. Bubbling to Albany slip on interior.
