Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jugs, Northeastern U.S. circa 1814-1834, a two-gallon ovoid jug with cobalt-highlighted maker's mark, stamped "ARMSTRONG & WENTWORTH / NORWICH," circa 1814-1834; paired with a highly-ovoid jug with brushed foliate motif and cobalt-highlighted handle terminals, circa 1830. Norwich jug with a shallow spout chip, other very minor spout wear, a 1 1/2" in-the-firing contact mark to reverse, a tiny surface chip to left side, and a tight, approximately 5 3/4" inverted Y-shaped line to one side. Other jug with a small surface chip to shoulder and other minor flaws.
