Three-Gallon Redware Jar Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'," PA origin, circa 1850-1880, ovoid jar decorated around the shoulder with four brushed lead-and-manganese tulip motifs in the classic John Bell style. Lead-and-manganese glazed interior. A long curving crack from rim. A few minor rim chips. A 1 1/8" base chip. Two minor flakes to interior base.
