Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware with Pittsburgh, PA Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1875, a two-gallon jug with freehand decoration, featuring the scarce stenciling, "GEO. A. KELLY & CO. / WHOLESALE / DRUGGISTS. / COR. WOOD ST. & FIRST / AVE. / PITTSBURGH. PA. / MADE BY / T.F. REPPERT / GREENSBORO. / PA;" paired with a one-gallon stripe-decorated jar, stenciled "J.J. FETZER & / BRO. / BUTLER- / -STREET / PITTSBURGH." Jug with a 1" section of left side of handle missing, in otherwise excellent condition. Jar with a thin 3 1/4" Y-shaped crack to left of stenciling, extending 2 1/2" onto underside, some staining, as well as a small rim chip and a few rim nicks.
