Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "JOHNBURGER / ROCHESTER," NY State origin, circa 1860, ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a daisy with well-detailed petals. Slip-trailed "2." above. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Minor in-the-firing chipping to top of spout. A 2 3/4" line from spout on reverse.
