Fine Shenandoah Valley Redware Washbowl Pitcher, Stamped Twice "BAECHER / WINCHESTER, VA", Anthony Bacher, Winchester, VA, circa 1880, ovoid pitcher with footed base, upswept spout, and spurred strap handle, the surface dipped in a cream-colored slip, decorated with splashed manganese and copper accents, and covered in a clear lead glaze. Underside impressed twice with Anthony Bacher maker's mark. Area of restoration to right side of spout. Some wear to rim. Restoration to spurs on handles and restored crack where handle meets rim. H 11 3/4".
