Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar, Stenciled "From / Hamilton & Jones / Greensboro. Pa," circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and rounded "wax sealer" rim, featuring desirable Hamilton & Jones "From" maker's stenciling between freehand stripes. Small chips to inner wax sealer rim. A shallow 5/8" base chip on side of jar. A very shallow 5/8" in-the-firing flake at base on front. Front of jar with some light, in-the-firing roughness and mottling to surface. H 8 3/8".
