Four-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Churn, Stenciled "WILLIAMS & / REPPERT. / GREENSBORO. PA," circa 1885, cylindrical churn with tooled shoulder, applied lug handles, and semi-rounded rim, featuring Williams & Reppert maker's stenciling surrounded by stenciled floral and foliate motifs. Freehand stripes to shoulder and base. Freehand "4" flanked by flourishes at base. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A chip to interior of rim. Wear to one handle. Two chips to other handles. A 6 1/2" Y-shaped line on reverse.
