Two Northeastern Stoneware Jugs, circa 1830, a highly-ovoid jug with brushed leaf design below a freehand "1," stamped "N. CLARK & CO / ROCHESTER.," paired with a two-gallon jug with reddish-brown slip foliate decoration, and cobalt highlights to the maker's mark and handle terminals. Clark jug in excellent, essentially as-made condition. Seymour jug in excellent condition with some staining and few in-the-firing flaws to surface, including an in-the-firing contact mark to front.
