Two Sewer Tile Spaniel Doorstops, OH origin, late 19th or early 20th century, both of seated form on oval bases with hand-incised details, the larger example including a chain and collar. Smaller example incised on underside, "TO MY SWEET / HEART MRS. / R E CO??? / FROM RO???." Smaller spaniel with a few in-the-firing separations to surface and some shallow base chipping. H 8 1/4".
