Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to John Burger, Rochester, NY, circa 1860, ovoid jug with thick, semi-squared spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a daisy plant with well-detailed blossom. Slip-trailed "2." above. Essentially as-made condition. Some spots of fry to cobalt. Three minor in-the-firing base chips.
