Rare Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "ROCHESTER", NY State origin, circa 1830, highly-ovoid jug with squared spout, decorated with a brushed design of a spotted tulip and stylized bud emanating from curved stems. Brushed "2" to shoulder. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. A line to edge of upper handle terminal. A line to lower handle terminal. A small, glazed-over iron ping to side of jug. A small spout chip. A small base chip.
