Three Glazed Redware Jars with Heart-Shaped Handles, probably Central NJ origin, circa 1840, all of similar ovoid form with depressed lug handles resembling hearts, each with various colored lead-and-manganese-glazed surfaces. Two jars include coggled embellishments to the rim. Two smaller jars in very good condition with some wear. Largest jar in damaged condition with a large surface flakes to one side, other light surface wear, wear to collar and handles, and two short cracks to collar. H (of tallest) 10 1/2".
