Two Glazed Redware Jars, probably PA origin, 19th century, an ovoid jar with rope-twist handles and daubed manganese decoration, covered in a clear lead glaze; paired with a smaller ovoid jar with tooled banding and streaked manganese decoration, covered in a clear lead glaze. Rope-handled jar with heavy wear to rim, rim chips, base chips, and some surface wear. Other jar with heavy chipping to base, wear and a few small chips to rim, some surface wear around midsection, a shallow flake and wear to one handle, and heavy damage to opposite handle. H (of rope-handled jar) 7 3/4".
