Two Norton Stoneware Jugs with Cobalt Bird Decoration, VT and MA origin, circa 1875, a two-gallon jug with slip-trailed parrot-on-branch motif, stamped "F.B. NORTON & CO. / WORCESTER, MASS.", paired with a three-gallon jug with cobalt bird-on-leaf motif, stamped "E & L P NORTON / BENNINGTON VT". Worcester jug with two minor spout nicks, some light staining to surface, a small amount of old green paint at base, and an in-the-firing crack and line at lower handle terminal. Vermont jug with a large salt drip to right side of jug, two short hairlines to spout, spout chips, and a base chip.
