Three Pieces Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, NY State origin, an unusual one-gallon tobacconist's jar, impressed with the cobalt-highlighted advertising, "J-B-HOFFMAN, & CO / TOBACCONIST / ALBANY. NY."; a two-gallon ovoid jug with cobalt double-tulip motif, stamped "J.B CAIRE & CO / POKEEPSIE N Y"; and a two-gallon jug with stylized cobalt floral design, stamped "J G BALL & CO / POUGHKEEPSIE". Tobacconist's jar with restoration to reverse, a crack in underside, and a few small in-the-firing iron pings. Caire jug in essentially as-made condition with several salt drips to surface and handle, two small pieces of adhered clay to right side, and some staining. Ball jug with a 1 1/2" in-the-firing flake to edge of spout, a minor spout chip, and some in-the-firing flaws, including fry to cobalt.
