Five-Gallon Double-Handled Stoneware Jug with Little Falls, NY Advertising, Stamped "OTTMAN BRO'S / & CO.. / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.", circa 1875, cylindrical jug with squared spout and two applied handles at the shoulder, inscribed in slip-trailed cobalt, "M.A. Ingalls, / Liquor Dealer, / Little Falls, / N.Y.". Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. A 2 1/4" hairline from spout on front, descending from a small chip to interior of spout. Some crudely-restored spout chips. A 2" in-the-firing separation along lower terminal of left handle, filled with glue. Handle is still very stable. H 18 3/4".
