Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Elaborate Incised Decoration, Sand Mountain, AL origin, late 19th century, ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, the shoulder heavily-decorated with combed wavy line incising, the surface covered in a glossy, blackish-brown glaze. Handle broken and reglued. Otherwise excellent condition.
