Scarce Four-Gallon Stoneware Jar, Stamped "J.M. YOW / ERECT, NC", late 19th century, ovoid jar with applied lug handles and pronounced, semi-rounded rim, the surface covered in a salt glaze. Impressed under one handle with J.M. Yow maker's mark beside an incised four-gallon capacity marking. Long tight lines emanating from the underside. A small base chip. Some surface flakes to interior base.
