One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "HAMILTON & JONES. / GREENSBORO. PA.", circa 1875, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a stenciled shield surrounding the firm name, "HAMILTON & / JONES.". Stenciled star motifs above and foliate motifs below. Base stenciled "GREENSBORO. PA.". Very nice condition with some tiny chips to shoulder molding and some wear to stenciling.
