Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar with Stenciled Floral Motif, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a stenciled design of a rose flanked by coneflowers. Base with freehand "2" flanked by dashes. Freehand stripes to rim and base. A Y-shaped crack on underside, which continues approximately 9" up side of jar. This crack includes some staining.
