Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Face Jug, Stamped "B.B. CRAIG / VALE, NC", early fourth quarter 20th century, ovoid jug with tall, flaring spout, decorated with an applied clay face including bulging eyes, Roman nose, a single eyebrow with incised details, ears with pierced interiors, and a smiling mouth with incised mustache and china teeth. Underside impressed with Burlon Craig maker's mark. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 10 3/4".
