Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Face Jug, Stamped "Lanier Meaders", Cleveland, GA, circa 1980, ovoid jug with applied facial features including kaolin eyes with black-glazed pupils and open mouth with kaolin teeth, the surface covered in an olive-colored alkaline glaze. Underside incised with Lanier Meaders signature. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 8 3/8".
