One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "WHITES, UTICA", NY State origin, circa 1870, cylindrical jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a crested bird perched on a stylized branch. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Some fry to cobalt. A short line to edge of upper handle terminal. Some staining.
