One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar with Lid, Stamped "TYLER & DILLON / ALBANY", NY State origin, circa 1835-1836, ovoid jar with tall collar and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed cobalt "1" with dash to the right. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Includes fitting salt-glazed lid, possibly original to the jar. Rim chips including a 7/8" rim flake above right handle. Lid with a few short lines and a minor chip.
