Rare Albany-Slip-Glazed Stoneware Jar, Stamped "N, JUDD / Rome", NY State origin, circa 1820, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and slightly-flared rim, the surface covered in a streaky Albany slip glaze. This glaze ranges in color from a matte olive to a glossy reddish-brown. Impressed vertically at the shoulder with Norman Judd maker's mark. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 7 5/8".
