Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stenciled "FOELL & ALT / EAST BIRMINGHAM, PA", circa 1860, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a freehand flowering vine motif and wavy stripe above Foell & Alt maker's stenciling. Bold-faced stenciled "2" below, flanked by wavy dashes. Excellent condition with some minor surface wear.
