Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "M. & T. MILLER / NEWPORT, PA", circa 1870, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with three large tulips emanating from a central stem. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals. Some scattered light exfoliation to base of jar on left side and rim of jar. Some other lesser exfoliation to surface elsewhere. Some wear to interior and exterior of rim, including two small chips to interior of rim. A 3/4" in-the-firing ping to underside. H 13 3/8".
