Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, Strasburg, VA origin, circa 1875, a pail-shaped crock with handles, decorated with diagonally-brushed floral and foliate motifs; paired with a two-gallon cake crock with swag decoration, attributed to William H. Lehew, Strasburg, VA. Pail-shaped crock out-of-round with large rim chips and a network of long, thin hairlines. Two-gallon crock with heavy chipping to rim, a small chip to each handle, and a few small base chips.
