One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Cobalt Clover Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1850, cylindrical churn with flared collar and ribbed lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a two-stemmed clover plant. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals and a curving line of cobalt beneath each handle. Crazing to base area on exterior. A small chip to one handle. A 1 3/8" flake to opposite handle. Three minor chips to exterior of rim.
