Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Hudson River Valley of NY origin, early 19th century, ovoid jar with footed base, tooled shoulder, and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a large brushed flower blossom related to Albany's early floral motifs. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Heavy chipping to base. Three rim chips.
